this is where i found him- buried deep down on the side of a 2 foot stratafied sand dune. |
The beauty of Delicate Arch in Arches National Park blew him over... literally.
here he is at the green river overlook.
Double Arch, at Arches Nat'l Park
Grand View Point
Monument Valley. apparently he's immune to barbed wire.
Grand Canyon
Wupatki Indian Ruins
Checkerboard Mesa, Zion Nat'l Park
this is from Fossil Butte. 'Lando wanted me to take a picture of him next to his sign. we had a bit of a hard time finding it though, Roarlando could've sworn it was around the year BC 4,000.
Roarlando told me that this guy offered to teach him how to swim once. But Roarlando didnt think that sounded very fun. Especially considering this guy was 13 ft. long at the time.
Landscape Arch, Arches Nat'l Park
he had a blast on Tatiana's earings.
No matter where we went, we never found a restroom for dinosaurs.
Sometimes i felt kind of strange having such a tiny non-human friend. But then i found out that the park service has one too! Only Roarlando is a way cooler name than Cryptobiotic Soil. And at least mine i can take with me when i go places.
I almost thought that these signs meant that i couldnt take Roarlando with me on the trails. But then i realized that it meant no pets, and Roarlando is not a pet. he's a dinosaur :)
clearly they missed one rather important reptile.
Apparently, old hotels used to use tar soap. But Roarlando told me that he once had a friend who tried to bathe in tar and it didnt turn out so good. but then again, he is now a part of the Smithsonian Institute, so hey, who can say whether that was a good or bad decision on his part :)
On my way home from school i stopped for gas in Buford Wyoming. when i saw this sign i knew i had to get a picture.
we were in Missouri recently, and we stopped by the Smallin Civil War cave. this sign looked like fun. ... or at least close to it ;) |
